For Teachers

 

  • To be empowered with ideas and confidence to make Environmental Education/Education for Sustainability/EOTC links between the New Zealand Curriculum / Te Marautanga o Aotearoa and onsite experiences at Pan Pac Kiwi Crèche and the Wilderness Education Base.
  • To use these links in ongoing and diverse ways; enriching existing classroom programmes by integrating Environmental Education/Education for Sustainability/EOTC with standard curriculum objectives to fully engage learners in education in, about and for the natural environment.
  • To gain skills and confidence in planning and leading high challenge, low risk outdoor education activities; relevantly incorporated within wider educational programmes, at levels appropriate for ongoing student development of action competence and the key competencies – capabilities for lifelong learning.
